dividendcalculator.app is built and maintained by Josh at Final Dynamics. It is a one-person project, not a media company.
Why it exists
Most dividend calculators answer in pre-tax, inflated future dollars. Those numbers look wonderful and buy nothing. This one reports after-tax income in today's dollars by default. It marks the year your dividends would cover your bills and publishes every assumption behind the math on the methodology page.
What happens to your numbers
Everything runs in your browser. There is no signup or account. The scenarios you model are never sent to a server. A share link encodes your inputs in the URL itself, which is the only place they live.
How the site makes money
A few book recommendations carry Amazon affiliate links, marked as such. That is the entire business model. No fund company sponsors the presets, the prose, or the math.
What this site is not
It is not financial advice. It is a modeling tool with published assumptions, and the methodology page is blunt about where those assumptions break. Treat every projection here as a way to compare scenarios. It is not a promise about your future.
